Jacobs announces work on US$1.8bn project for aerospace giant Boeing

US-based aircraft manufacturer Boeing selected Jacobs to deliver design, engineering, and environmental services for a major expansion of its St. Louis, Missouri, US site.

The multi-phase project will add about 1.1 million sq ft of advanced manufacturing space across a 106-acre site, nearly doubling Boeing’s existing footprint in the region.
The locale assembles planes for the US military, including fighter jets like the F/A-18 Super Hornet, F-15EX Eagle II and the T-7A Red Hawk trainer. , the expansion will assist with an alleged $20 billion contract to build new F-47 jets for the US.
The expansion also includes the demolition of older infrastructure to make way for the new build.
