Metro do Porto awards consortium contract on Portugal鈥檚 鈥榣argest investment鈥�

Metro do Porto has awarded a 鈧�379.5 million contract to a consortium of Alberto Couto Alves, FCC Construcci贸n and Contratas y Ventas for the construction of light rail line H (Ruby).
The project also includes the construction of a bridge over the Douro River.

The 6.4 km Line H would connect Casa da M煤sica on lines A, B, C, E, F and G in the centre to Santo Ov铆dio in the south, where interchange would be provided with Line D.

Works are expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
The total project cost is estimated at 鈧�435 million. Metro do Porto said that this is the largest investment to date to be funded from Portugal鈥檚 share of the EU鈥檚 Recovery & Resilience Fund.
