The company鈥檚 new track mounted Lokotrack EC range is designed and built on a completely new platform that Metso has been developing since 2020, and features digital tools that will Metso says will make operation and maintenance 鈥渆asier than ever鈥�.

While no details about the number of models included in the range have yet been revealed, the Lokotrack EC units are said to feature a next-generation diesel-electric powerline, with all process functions electrically driven and controlled by automation. According to Metso, this ensures the EC models 鈥渁lways perform at the optimal load level鈥�.

The new Lokotrack will have a robust and distinctive design and it will feature the latest digital tools, making operating and maintaining the units easier than ever.

Metso will host its 鈥渂iggest aggregates customer event of the year鈥� to officially launch the new crushing and screening equipment line. Known as Lokolaunch 2024, the invite-only event is set to take place at the Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland, on the 14 to 16 May, 2024.  

In addition to launching the Lokotrack EC range, the manufacturer will use the event to present its latest advancements in crushing technology, digital tools utilisation, and will reveal parts and services developments that it claims will 鈥渟ignificantly enhance the customer鈥檚 operational efficiency and productivity throughout the entire lifecycle of their equipment鈥�.
