The new model, developed and produced in Hannover, Germany, was presented to a broader audience for the first time at Bauma 2025.

With an operating weight of approximately 10 tonnes, the WA170M-11 is capable of performing demanding multi-role loader tasks as well as typical earthmoving operations.

Michael Wadsack, product manager at Komatsu, said, 鈥淲e are proud to add this completely new designed machine to our wheel loader product line up. It has been developed in close collaboration with customers and distributors based on their needs. The new WA170M-11 features a powerful 96kW Stage V diesel engine and is designed for comfort, durability, and ease of maintenance. With its compact dimensions it facilitates quick and easy transport. Furthermore, a wide range of factory-installed options allows for customisation to suit almost any application.鈥

Powered by a 4-cylinder Komatsu diesel engine that produces 96 kW, the engine meets the latest EU Stage V emissions standard and is provided with eco-friendly HVO diesel fuel as standard.

The new model features a new, air-suspended premium seat with an attached control console for added comfort. A joystick steering option is also available.

The WA170M-11 can be ordered with two different loader linkages. In addition to the classic Z-kinematics, Komatsu now offers its 鈥淭ool Linkage鈥 kinematics, which are known from larger models, for the first time in this class. The Tool Linkage kinematics are ideal for heavy attachments that require frequent changing, allowing for flexible use with existing attachments for a variety of tasks.

The new loader can also be equipped with high-flow hydraulics, additional control circuits, tool management, or a trailer coupling.
